AAA House Show (12/26/1999)

(What?  You think we'd run a show on Christmas? :)  Location: Toluca,
Mexico - right outside Mexico City.)

Two-out-of-three-Falls Match:
Fugaz, Ricky Marvin and Electro Shock beat Geo, Nemesis and Picudo 2
falls to 0:
x Fugaz beat Picudo via the Flying Senton in 0:09:03
x E. Shock beat Nemesis via the Flying Splash in 0:14:24
Rating: * 1/2
(Venum II no-showed.)

Ricky Marvin made his AAA debut in this match.  AAA has high hopes for
Marvin, but he'll have to develop first.  As it was, this was a decent
opener, with the tecnicos taking it in two straight falls.  Fugaz
looked pretty sharp in the ring, as did Nemesis.

Two-out-of-three-Falls Match:
Ultimo Guerrero and Moto Cross beat Los Nuevos Power Rangers (Ludxor
and Super Nova II) 2 falls to 1:
x Ludxor beat M. Cross via the Top Rope Headscissors in 0:06:42
x U. Guerrero beat Nova II via the Reverse Superplex in 0:13:14
x M. Cross beat Ludxor via a flying dropkick in 0:17:24
Rating: **

Not bad at all.  Guerrero and Moto Cross came out with little plastic
title belts, which probably represent the Mexican National Tag Team
Titles.  Ludxor and Super Nova got a quick jump on the rudos, taking
the first fall with little difficulty.  However, Guerrero and Moto
Cross double-teamed Nova in the second fall, leading to the Reverse
Superplex for the pinfall.  The third fall saw Ludxor try to make a
comeback, but after Guerrero hit him with a spin kick from behind,
Moto Cross hit Ludxor with a flying dropkick for the win.

Rie Tamada and Miss Janeth defeated Ayako Hamada and Esther Moreno
when R. Tamada pinned Hamada with the Dragon Suplex in 0:17:42.
Rating: ***

Great match!  The ladies manage to put the men to shame in this one.
Fast-paced action for most of the match, with Ayako and Esther taking
to the air on more than one occasion to try and take care of the
rudas.  Janeth introduced a chair into the match, and tried to power
bomb Esther on it, but she reversed it with a faceslam!  Tamada then
grabbed the chair and *smashed* it over Esther's head, knocking her
out of the ring, then shoved the chair into Ayako's gut, and followed
with the Dragon Suplex for the pin!

Two-out-of-three-Falls Match:
Aguila, Brazo De Oro, Discovery and El Mosco beat Shiiba, Binary,
Maniaco and May Flowers 2 falls to 1:
x Maniaco beat Aguila via a kneelock submission in 0:05:18
x Mosco beat Binary via an Asai moonsault in 0:12:35
x Discovery beat Binary via the Cadet Clutch in 0:20:27
Rating: * 1/4

And things go downhill from here...  Again, not really a bad match,
but compared to the others so far tonight...  In any event, after
Aguila was attacked by all four rudos, Maniaco made the Caged Fury
Tournament champion *submit* to a kneelock submission!  The tecnicos
took offense to this, and El Mosco took care of Binary with an Asai
moonsault seven minutes later.  Then, with all eight men brawling,
Discovery hit Binary with a legsweep, followed by the Camel Clutch for
the submission, and a big victory!

Magnum Tokyo and Perro Aguayo defeated Tradicion (El Texano and Sangre
Chicana) when M. Tokyo pinned Texano with the AV Star Press in
0:17:01.
Rating: -3/4*

Why did we have to end the night like this?  WHY?  Anyways, this was a
pretty boring match.  Tokyo appeared to have injured himself after
missing a tope, which left Perro alone with the rudos for a few
minutes.  Tokyo was treated by the ringside doctor, however, and was
able to continue.  After Chicana was clotheslined over the top rope,
Perro hit Texano with the Double Stomp, and Tokyo followed with the AV
Star Press for the tecnico win!  Decent ending to a dismal match.
