AAA House Show (10/23/1999)

(From Xochimilco.)

Triangle Match:
Chaparrita ASARI defeated Ayako Hamada and Rossy Moreno:
x ASARI beat R. Moreno via a back suplex in 0:11:45
x ASARI beat Hamada via a senton in 0:20:58
Rating: * 1/2

Decent women's match to start off.  Miss Janeth was scheduled to take
part in this one, but she's preparing for her Mexican National Women's
Title match at Noche del Terror against Kaori Nakayama.  Rossy was
trying to act like a total bitch, but ASARI and Hamada teamed up on
her, with ASARI eventually finishing her off with a back suplex.
Then, ASARI and Hamada had a competitive little segment, ending when
Ayako missed a splash from the top rope, and ASARI capitalized with a
senton for the pin.

Two-out-of-three-Falls Match:
Fugaz, Thunderbird and Ludxor beat Moto Cross, Geo and Ultimo Guerrero
2 falls to 0:
x Thunderbird beat U. Guerrero via a crucifix in 0:13:10
x Fugaz beat U. Guerrero via an armbar submission in 0:23:25
Rating: 3/4*

This doesn't make sense.  Why would Ultimo Guerrero lose both falls
for his team?  Oh, because Moto Cross and Geo were more concerned with
fighting the tecnicos on the outside, which left Guerrero in the ring
for much of the match.  Thunderbird caught Guerrero with a crucifix
for the first fall, then after a miscommunication from the rudos,
where Geo hit Guerrero with a kick by accident, Fugaz managed to make
Guerrero *submit* to an armbar submission hold for the win!  Guerrero
didn't look too happy after the match.

Tradicion (El Cobarde, El Texano and Sangre Chicana) defeated Los
Nuevos Power Rangers (Discovery, Super Nova II and Venum II) when
Cobarde pinned Venum II after a senton in 0:20:16.
Rating: -* 3/4

Simple one-fall match here.  The tecnicos tried to wear down the more
experienced rudos with a series of dives and high-risk moves, but they
had very little effect.  The rudos then took over with some cheating
and brawling tactics, and finally won it when all three hit Venum II
with sentons, and Cobarde made the pin.  Fans didn't like this one at
all.

Two-out-of-three-Falls Match:
Brazo De Oro and El Mosco beat Abeja Africana and Nemesis 2 falls to
1:
x Oro beat Nemesis via a flying cross body press in 0:10:31
x A. Africana beat Mosco via the Flying Splash in 0:18:26
x Mosco beat A. Africana via disqualification in 0:20:23
Rating: 1/4*

This match was disappointing, considering who was in it.  The first
fall was nothing special, as Oro eventually caught Nemesis with a
flying cross body press for the win.  The second fall was a little
more exciting, as Nemesis hit Mosco with a chair, and Abeja followed
up with a Flying Splash for the pin.  Mosco was enraged, and went
right after Abeja in the third fall with a series of kicks and chops.
Eventually, Abeja decided he was fed up, and gave Mosco a low blow in
*full* view of the referee, for the instant DQ.  Oro came in and took
Abeja down with the Frankensteiner after the match, then helped Mosco
to the back.

Pentagon and Abismo Negro defeated Heavy Metal and Negro Casas when
Pentagon pinned H. Metal after a legsweep in 0:21:47.
Rating: ** 3/4

Best match of the night.  The tecnicos hit double tope suicidas on the
rudos at the start of the match.  Eventually, the rudos started to
come back, and Pentagon and Abismo did quite a number on Casas, until
he made the hot tag to Metal!  Heavy Metal unloaded on both rudos, and
executed the Casita on Pentagon, but Abismo made the save.  Casas then
brawled with Abismo on the outside, and Metal thought he was going to
win it, until he went off the ropes, and Shiiba came out of nowhere
and hit Metal with a chair!  Pentagon grabbed Metal, hit him with a
legsweep, and got the pin!  The rudos quickly hurried out, as Shiiba
taunted Metal and Casas, making his exit through the crowd.
