(From Oaxaca tonight.)
Geo
pinned Fugaz with the Power Bomb in 0:12:44.
Rating:
-1/4*
Too long, lots of stalling.
That's the only way I can picture this
match, since Geo's still
relatively new to AAA, and Fugaz is... er...
improving, shall we say.
In any event, it would be the rudo, Geo,
getting the pinfall victory.
Venum
II pinned Abeja Africana after a bulldog in 0:06:25.
Rating:
1/4*
A little more action packed
than the previous matches. Pretty
fast-paced, however, with
both fighters having to go through all their
moves in just over six minutes.
Venum II evens the score up for the
tecnicos with a bulldog
for the win.
Two-out-of-three-Falls
Match:
Rey
Dragon, Thunderbird and Super Nova II beat Ultimo Guerrero, Moto
Cross
and May Flowers 2 falls to 0:
x
Nova II beat U. Guerrero via the Flying Cross Body Press in 0:07:13
x
Thunderbird beat U. Guerrero via a rana in 0:17:16
Rating:
1/2*
This match was awful!
No offense, but I'd expect better things from
these six. Too much
brawling in this one, and not enough wrestling.
Nova eventually pinned Guerrero
with a Flying Cross Body Press for
fall one, and then Thunderbird
caught Guerrero by surprise with a rana
for fall two. Clean
sweep for the tecnicos.
Two-out-of-three-Falls
Match:
Shiiba
and Kickboxer beat Brazo De Oro and Mascara Sagrada Jr. 2 falls
to
1:
x
Oro beat Kickboxer via a flying cross body press in 0:03:49
x
Kickboxer beat Oro via the Superkick in 0:15:02
x
Shiiba beat Sagrada Jr. via the Frog Splash in 0:20:36
Rating:
** 3/4
Much better than the previous
matches. Oro and Sagrada Jr. kept the
pressure on Shiiba and Kickboxer
throughout, including a very fast
first fall. The rudos
slowly came back, however, and Kickboxer and
Shiiba eventually hit their
finishers on Oro and Sagrada Jr.,
respectively, to take this
one.
Two-out-of-three-Falls
Match:
Binary,
Maniaco and Nygma beat Electro Shock, Ludxor and El Mosco 2
falls
to 1:
x
Mosco beat Nygma via the Northern Lights Suplex in 0:04:19
x
Nygma beat Mosco via an inside cradle in 0:05:02
x
Binary beat E. Shock via the Y2K Crash in 0:13:33
Rating:
1/2*
Another disappointing match.
Nygma and Ludxor went at it constantly.
First two falls were rather
uneventful, but in the third one, Electro
Shock ran right into the
Y2K Crash by Binary for the pinfall! The
Mexican National Middleweight
Champion was shocked, and challenged
Binary to a match this week
on TV for the title! Binary smiled, and
accepted.
Octagon
and Pikachu defeated Abismo Negro and Mini Abismo Negro when
Pikachu
pinned Mini Abismo with the Pika-Sault in 0:16:42.
Rating:
** 3/4
Interesting special main
event. There was a stipulation that if
Pikachu beat Mini Abismo,
he'd get a title shot at Noche del Terror.
Octagon and Abismo were
on fire, fighting a good back-and-forth
battle, while Mini Abismo
pounded away on Pikachu on the outside.
Eventually, however, the
tide turned, and despite Abismo trying to
interfere on his mini's
behalf, Pikachu landed the Pika-Sault for the
win, and the title shot!
Abismo charged Pikachu after the bell, but
Octagon sent him flying
over the top rope with a dropkick!
Noti-AAA:
- AAA officials are very
angry with Pentagon's comments made towards
Xochitl Hamada this week
on TV. Expect some action to be taken
against Pentagon.
- As for the Noche del Terror Card, it now looks like this:
Mexican National Heavyweight
Title Match: Blue Demon Jr. (c) vs.
Ultimo Dragon
Negro Casas, Heavy Metal
and Brazo Cibernetico vs. Kickboxer, Gran
Apache and Shiiba (stips
TBA this week)
Corazon De Leon vs. Abismo Negro (stips TBA this week)
Mexican National Tag Team
Title Match: Mr. Niebla and Magnum Tokyo (c)
vs. Steve Corino and Eddy
Guerrero
Mexican National Minis Title Match: Mini Abismo Negro (c) vs. Pikachu
Mexican National Women's
Title Match: Kaori Nakayama (c) vs. Miss
Janeth
One more match may be announced this week.
- After the (dreaded) contract
renewals this week, 2 out of the
following 5 people have
LEFT AAA: Aguila, Canek, Cibernetico, Octagon
and Perro Aguayo.
No doubt, this is a huge blow for AAA, no matter
how you look at it.
The people who left will be announced on TV this
week.
- Magnum Tokyo returns to
action on TV this week after recovering from
a neck injury.
- Binary vs. Electro Shock
on TV this week for the Mexican National
Middleweight Title.
- Pretty slow news week, actually. Nothing much to report.
