Tzuki beat Pierrothito via a Frankensteiner from the top rope in

Rating:

Tzuki was on fire tonight!
Pierrothito was caught off guard in the
first fall, and then in
the third, Tzuki hit an *awesome* Asai Tornado
Dive onto Pierrothito!
Amazing! The match was soon over after that
one.
Two-out-of-three-Falls
Match:
Charly
Manson beat Brazo De Oro 2 falls to 0:
x
C. Manson beat B. Oro via the Bullet Dropkick in 0:09:02
x
C. Manson beat B. Oro via an Asai moonsault in 0:14:08
Rating:

Not bad at all. Manson
was in control for most of the match, but Oro
proved to be a capable opponent
for the rudo. Both men shook hands
after the match.
Two-out-of-three-Falls
Match:
Tradicion
(El Cobarde, El Texano and Sangre Chicana) beat Los Nuevos
Power
Rangers (Discovery, Super Nova II and Venum II) 2 falls to 1:
x
Nova II beat Cobarde via a rana in 0:18:34
x
Cobarde beat Discovery via the Powerslam in 0:26:44
x
Texano beat Nova II via the Magistral Cradle in 0:30:49
Rating:
-** 1/2
Horrible. Just terrible.
Venum II was the only guy who looked good
out there tonight, as everyone
was pretty much mailing it in. Nice
tope suicida by Discovery,
however. Tradicion takes the last two
falls to get the win, but
this match was just too long.
Two-out-of-three-Falls
Match:
Maniaco
and Steve Corino beat Latin Lover and Rey Dragon 2 falls to 1:
x
Maniaco beat R. Dragon via the Flying Dropkick in 0:12:05
x
L. Lover beat Maniaco via the Superkick in 0:18:13
x
Corino beat R. Dragon via the Dragon Suplex in 0:25:44
Rating:
** 1/4
Better than the last match,
at least. Maniaco and Corino worked well
as a team, but Lover and
Dragon looked a little out of place. Corino
hit Dragon with the Dragon
Suplex in the final fall, but only got a
two count! The second
one, however, sealed the deal.
Psicosis
pinned Ultimo Dragon with the Flying Legdrop in 0:17:34.
Rating:
*****
(Psicosis
retained the Mexican National Light Heavyweight Title.)
MATCH OF THE YEAR CANDIDATE!
Psicosis and Dragon brought the house
down with some fantastic
dives, some great action, and best of all, a
clean ending! Dragon
had Psic in the Dragon Sleeper, and it looked
like we'd have a new Light
Heavyweight Champion, but Psic managed to
break the hold! Dragon
looked stunned, and went for a Frankensteiner,
but Psicosis countered with
a power bomb! Psic went up top, hit the
Flying Legdrop...
AND GOT THE PIN!!! Both men received a standing
ovation after the match.
Notes:
- Oh, boy. We get out
of D-Day fine, and then... Everything starts
to crumble.
To start off, after the TV
tapings on Tuesday night, Zumbido handed in
his notice. He had
been on the shelf for a little while with a minor
neck injury. He would
have faced Rey Dragon in some form at Verano.
Then, two more people walked
out after tonight's House Show! We know
that Avispa pretty much
tore up his contract and walked out of the
door, quitting effective
as of right now. We don't know who the other
person was... yet.
We'll find out on TV this week.
- Morale in the AAA locker
room is at an all-time low after the
happenings of the past few
days. Over 50% of the wrestlers in AAA are
contemplating their future
with the company. Some serious damage
control is needed, I think.
- Next week's AAA House Show
will be held on Sunday instead of
Saturday. (More details
on my vacation a little later on.)
- Verano is all but confirmed
for Friday, September 17th, 1999. There
will be no TV Tapings that
week.
- Still no word on this "Binary" thing...
