AAA House Show (08/21/1999)

Two-out-of-three-Falls Match:
Mini Mosco De La Merced and Mini Psicosis beat Octagoncito and Pikachu
2 falls to 1:
x Pikachu beat Mini Psicosis via the Pika-Sault in 0:12:01
x Mini Psicosis beat Pikachu via the Flying Legdrop in 0:19:33
x Merced beat Pikachu via a flying senton in 0:22:32
Rating: ** 3/4

First of two minis matches tonight.  Poor Pikachu, despite winning the
first fall, was destroyed by the rudos after that, and ended up losing
the next two falls, for a Mini Viper victory.  Octagoncito was rarely
in the ring, as the rudos exhibited some nice teamwork.

Number-One-Contenders-Two-out-of-three-Falls Match:
Mini Abismo Negro beat Pierrothito 2 falls to 0:
x Mini Abismo beat Pierrothito via his special move in 0:09:36
x Mini Abismo beat Pierrothito via the German Suplex in 0:15:24
Rating: **

Well, Mini Abismo's going to Verano!  He hit Pierrothito with a low
blow to take the first fall, then, after 6 minutes of back-and-forth
action, took the match and the final slot in the Triangle Match with
the German Suplex.

Two-out-of-three-Falls Match:
Shiiba and Moto Cross beat Thunderbird and Venum II 2 falls to 1:
x Shiiba beat Thunderbird via the Frog Splash in 0:14:39
x Thunderbird beat Shiiba via the Frankensteiner in 0:18:28
x M. Cross beat Venum II via the Top Rope Headscissors in 0:23:34
Rating: **

Moto Cross and Thunderbird had another chance to show their skills
here.  Thunderbird got revenge for losing the first fall to Shiiba by
finishing him with his Frankensteiner, but Moto Cross got the win for
his team by polishing off Venum II with the Top Rope Headscissors.
Venum II didn't look so hot tonight, and kind of dragged the match
down, but not by much.

Ludxor pinned Zumbido after a flying cross body press in 0:08:38.
Rating: * 3/4

Simple one-fall match here.  Ludxor and Zumbido both went all-out on
each other with an array of roll-ups, high-flying moves, and matwork.
Finally, Ludxor kept Zumbido down after a flying cross body press for
the win.  Tecnicos finally win one tonight.

Two-out-of-three-Falls Match:
Heavy Metal, Brazo Cibernetico and Rey Dragon beat Avispa, Kickboxer
and Sangre Chicana 2 falls to 0:
x B. Cibernetico beat Avispa via the Flying Splash in 0:10:38
x B. Cibernetico beat Kickboxer via the Flying Splash in 0:17:42
Rating: 1/4*

The first fall went without any problems, but Zumbido came out to
brawl with Rey Dragon at the beginning of the second fall, and then
Negro Casas distracted Kickboxer, letting Brazo Ciber attack him from
behind, and eventually win the second fall.  Tecnicos sweep the rudos
here.

Two-out-of-three-Falls Match:
Los Vipers (Abismo Negro and Cibernetico) beat Mascara Sagrada Jr. and
Electro Shock 2 falls to 1:
x Cibernetico beat Sagrada Jr. via the CiberBomb in 0:11:34
x Sagrada Jr. beat Cibernetico via the Flying Somersault Bodyblock in
0:19:28
x Cibernetico beat Sagrada Jr. via the CiberBomb in 0:27:25
Rating: **

Cibernetico and Abismo decided to tag up here to take on Sagrada Jr.
and former Viper Electro Shock.  Ciber drew first blood with a
CiberBomb on Sagrada Jr., but he got one back in a hurry with the
Flying Somersault Bodyblock, which took Ciber down.  Cibernetico and
Abismo argued after the third fall, but cooler heads prevailed, and
Cibernetico beat Sagrada Jr. in the third fall with a CiberBomb.  Both
Vipers left together after the match.

Notes:

- D-Day.  It came... and went.  And with it...  we lucked out. :)
Yes, 18 out of 20 superstars stayed with AAA, including Blue Demon
Jr., who's been signed to a 52 card deal.  The two that left were Nino
De La Calle (no big loss) and [AAA] Mosco De La Merced. (Important
loss.)  Mosco, as you know, was slated for the Hair/Mask/Hair match
with Crazzy and El Mosco at Verano.  AAA *will* make an attempt to
resign Mosco.  It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.
- Some people who may have to renegotiate soon include Heavy Metal (2
cards), Negro Casas (4), Pantera and Steve Corino (6), and the quartet
of Perro Aguayo, Canek, Cibernetico and Octagon (16).
- Nothing else much happening.  The TNM-MP Memorial Card match has
been sent in, and I'll only give you one hint - think 8-man tag.
