Hey! We went to...
Houston. Yes, Houston. Managed to pack in 3000
fans, which isn't half bad.
Xochitl
Hamada and Miss Janeth defeated Kaori Nakayama and Chaparrita
ASARI
when X. Hamada pinned K. Nakayama after a gutwrench suplex in
0:12:43.
Rating:
* 1/4
(Ayako
Hamada no-showed.)
More about Ayako no-showing
at the bottom. Nakayama took her place in
a highly competitive matchup.
In the end, however, Janeth provided
the distraction that Xochitl
needed, as she caught Nakayama by
surprise with a gutwrench
suplex for the win.
Two-out-of-three-Falls
Match:
Moto
Cross, Nemesis and Shiiba beat Thunderbird, Venum II and Ludxor 2
falls
to 0:
x
Nemesis beat Venum II via the Flying Dropkick in 0:07:57
x
Nemesis beat Venum II via a German suplex in 0:10:07
Rating:

A clean rudo sweep here.
Thunderbird and Moto Cross continued to
impress, but didn't do much
of note. Nemesis caught Venum II twice
with some high-impact moves,
for the win.
Two-out-of-three-Falls
Match:
Heavy
Metal, Discovery and Rey Dragon beat Zumbido, Angel Mortal and
Histeria
2 falls to 0:
x
R. Dragon beat Zumbido via the Stardust Press in 0:07:48
x
H. Metal beat A. Mortal via the Casita in 0:13:39
Rating:
3/4*
First off, the Stardust Press
by Rey Dragon was fantastic! Crowd
popped big time for that.
Otherwise, this was a basic match. This
time, the tecnicos swept
after a Casita by Metal. Both teams
continued to fight for a
few minutes after the bell.
Two-out-of-three-Falls
Match:
Los
Vatos Locos (Charly Manson and Nygma) beat
Brazo
Cibernetico and Brazo De Oro 2 falls to 1:
x
C. Manson beat B. Cibernetico via an Asai moonsault in 0:05:45
x
B. Oro beat C. Manson via a rana in 0:21:17
x
Nygma beat B. Cibernetico via a powerslam in 0:24:36
Rating:
** 1/2
Match of the night.
Save for Nygma, everyone looked great. Manson
caught Brazo Ciber looking
early, but Brazo De Oro bounced back later
on, countering Manson's
power bomb with a rana for the three count.
However, Nygma proved to
be the difference, as Manson hit Ciber with a
kendo stick, setting up
a powerslam for the win.
Octagon
and Latin Lover defeated Kickboxer and Psicosis when Octagon
pinned
Psicosis after a flying cross body press in 0:10:04.
Rating:
3/4*
OK main event. Kickboxer
dominated the early portions of this
matchup, but that all changed
when Octagon was tagged in. For the
second straight week, Psic
missed the Flying Legdrop, this time when
Lover ran into the ropes,
knocking Psic off the top. This gave
Octagon an opportunity,
and he took advantage of it with a flying
cross body press for the
win.
Notes:
- Ayako Hamada may be moving
elsewhere. At press time, she was
contemplating moving back
over to Japan, possibly to sign with NJPW.
However, should she reconsider,
AAA will be prepared to make her
another contract offer.
Ayako will be at the TV Show on Wednesday,
from Albany, New York, as
we continue our American/Canadian tour.
- There's rumors AAA may
be interested in Venum Black, after his
departure from EMLL.
- It's D-Day next Saturday.
It will be then that 20 of AAA's 60 stars
will have their contracts
expire. It should also be noted that some
of the stars are *big* name
stars. Now, obviously, I can't talk about
this here, but if you check
out the official TNM-MP Message Board
(http://users.cgiforme.com/colin/cfmboard.html),
you'll see who's up
for renewal... and this
could cause a huge shakeup in AAA. It could
also change the Verano De
Escandalo lineup drastically, as well.
