AAA House Show (08/07/1999)

Two-out-of-three-Falls Match:
Miss Janeth, Martha Villalobos and Chikako Shiratori beat
Alda Moreno, Chaparrita ASARI and Ayako Hamada 2 falls to 0:
x Miss Janeth beat Hamada via the Northern Lights Suplex in 0:02:08
x Villalobos beat Hamada via an avalanche in 0:05:22
Rating: 1/4*

Not a very good opener.  Rudas sweep this one in record time, much to the crowd's disgust.  ASARI didn't even get tagged in.

Two-out-of-three-Falls Match:
Brad Armstrong, Nemesis and Shiiba beat Venum II, Discovery and Brazo De Oro 2 falls to 0:
x B. Armstrong beat Oro via a crucifix in 0:09:41
x B. Armstrong beat Oro via the Russian Legsweep in 0:10:17
Rating: * 3/4

This was very odd, because when Armstrong was tagged in, he refused to tag out, isolated Oro, and won the match.  Afterwards, Armstrong flipped off his teammates *and* the crowd, and walked off!  What the hell?

Two-out-of-three-Falls Match:
Mr. Niebla and Magnum Tokyo beat Zumbido and Abeja Africana 2 falls to
1:
x Zumbido beat Mr. Niebla via a moonsault bodyblock in 0:14:40
x M. Tokyo beat A. Africana via the AV Star Press in 0:23:13
x M. Tokyo beat A. Africana via a DDT in 0:28:16
Rating: ** 1/2
(Mr. Niebla and Magnum Tokyo retained the Mexican National Tag Team Titles.)

Tokyo's defending the titles with Niebla while Aguila continues to impress in ECW.  Rudos dominated the first 20 minutes, giving the fans quite a scare, before the AV Star Press tied it up, and a DDT ended it.  The fans proceeded to wipe sweat off their brows.

Two-out-of-three-Falls Match:
Kickboxer, Steve Corino and Angel Mortal beat Latin Lover, Heavy Metal and El Mosco 2 falls to 1:
x Mosco beat Corino via the Northern Lights Suplex in 0:04:12
x A. Mortal beat L. Lover via the Power Bomb in 0:15:48
x Kickboxer beat Mosco via the Superkick in 0:26:19
Rating: **

As soon as Corino was beat in the first fall, he bailed out of the match.  Just walked off.  Simple as that.  Rudos didn't seem to mind, and won the next two falls for the comeback win.

Non-Title-Match:
Canek pinned Psicosis with the Canek Press in 0:09:28.
Rating: *

Quick main event.  Better than everyone thought it would be, with some hot brawling action.  Psic missed the Flying Legdrop, and Canek countered with a Canek Press when Psic got up for the big win.  Psic looked shaken up after the match.

Notes:

- Not much to report on so far, although rumors persist that some contracts have been terminated... 3, as a matter of fact.  Expect an official announcement on TV this week.
- Rumors persist that AAA offered very lucrative contracts to some stars last week, but they were turned down.  AAA will make a last-ditch effort this week.
- Galavision representatives were "disgusted" at the Vipers/Vatos Locos match on TV this week.  According to a top-ranking official, it had "no business of being on TV, especially on Galavision."  Hm...
