AAA House Show (07/03/1999)

[Mexican National Women's Tournament - Round 1]:
Martha Villalobos pinned Ayako Hamada with the Splash in 0:02:07.
Rating: -* 1/2

Surprising result!  Ayako had the advantage from the beginning, but
leave it to Xochitl, who snuck some brass knuckles in, and handed them
to Martha after an Ayako spin kick.  The rest... was history.  Ayako
was screaming at the top of her lungs after this one, and grabbed a
chair to chase after Xochitl with.  This one isn't over.

[Mexican National Women's Tournament - Round 1]:
Kaori Nakayama pinned Miss Janeth with the Moonsault in 0:09:45.
Rating: **

Nakayama and Janeth managed to have one of the best matches of the
tournament so far.  Janeth got *ROCKED* by an enzuigiri early on,
which slowed her down for most of the match.  Janeth attempted a
comeback, but Nakayama managed to *block* the Northern Lights Suplex,
and connect with a DDT.  The Moonsault from the top sealed it.

So, the semi-finals will be Chikako Shiratori vs. Kaori Nakayama, and
Chaparrita ASARI vs. Martha Villalobos.  Both matches will be this
week on AAA TV, with 15 minute time limits.  The final will be a 2/3
falls match.

Two-out-of-three-Falls Match:
Ludxor, Venum II and Mascara Sagrada Jr. beat Brad Armstrong, Nemesis
and Shiiba 2 falls to 1:
x Ludxor beat Nemesis via a Frankensteiner in 0:02:41
x B. Armstrong beat Venum II via a powerslam in 0:13:34
x Sagrada Jr. beat Shiiba via the Flying Somersault Bodyblock in
0:22:02
Rating: ** 1/4

Brad Armstrong made his AAA debut in, of all places, a house show.  He
looked to be in great shape, and even scored a pinfall with a
powerslam onto Venum II.  However, he wasn't involved at all in the
third fall.  Shiiba hit his Frog Splash onto Sagrada Jr., but couldn't
make a pinfall!  Nemesis tossed Shiiba a chair, but Sagrada Jr.
dropkicked it right into Shiiba's face!  Shiiba was dazed long enough
for Sagrada Jr. to hit the Flying Somersault Bodyblock for the win.

Two-out-of-three-Falls Match:
Angel Mortal, Abeja Africana and Steve Corino beat Mr. Niebla, Magnum
Tokyo and Heavy Metal 2 falls to 1:
x A. Mortal beat Mr. Niebla via a gutwrench suplex in 0:13:54
x Mr. Niebla beat A. Mortal via a bodyslam in 0:14:52
x A. Africana beat Mr. Niebla via the Flying Splash in 0:22:11
Rating: * 3/4

Odd little match.  Corino and Tokyo had some nice sequences together,
but they weren't involved in any of the falls.  Mortal caught Niebla
with a gutwrench suplex to take the first fall, but with a brawl going
on outside the ring, Niebla repaid the favor with a bodyslam to take
the second fall.  After Abeja and Mortal took down Niebla, then Tokyo
with double DDT's, Niebla was a prime suspect for the Flying Splash,
which Abeja hit.  Tecnicos and rudos are even so far tonight, 2-2.

Blue Demon Jr. pinned Discovery with the Stunner in 0:04:38.
Rating: **
(Blue Demon Jr. retained the UWA Junior Heavyweight Title.)

And...  This one didn't last very long.  This match was scheduled a
month or so ago, but that was before Demon Jr.'s actions.  As for
Discovery... he didn't have much of a chance.  Demon Jr. just
demolished him, and finished him off with a Stunner.  Afterwards,
Discovery got rocked with two more Stunners.  Sounds familiar...

Two-out-of-three-Falls Match:
Pierroth Jr. and Mosco De La Merced beat Ultimo Dragon and Negro Casas
2 falls to 1:
x Merced beat N. Casas via the Flying Senton in 0:14:15
x U. Dragon beat Merced via the Dragon Sleeper in 0:29:21
x Pierroth Jr. beat N. Casas via his special move in 0:36:11
Rating: ** 3/4

Surprisingly clean match, for the most part.  Dragon and Casas worked
well together.  Pierroth obviously had some reservations about working
with Mosco, which is why Mosco was in for most of the match.  Merced
did catch Casas with the Flying Senton for the first fall, but Dragon
took Mosco to school, and made him tap to the Dragon Sleeper for fall
two.  Casas had the win with the Casita on Casas, but Pierroth came in
and whacked Casas from behind with a chain, while Tirantes was talking
to Dragon!  Tirantes turned around, and made the pin.  Post-match,
Mosco was celebrating in the ring, even doing some crotch chops, but
Pierroth didn't like that very much.  Mosco ended up with the chain
right to the face!  Ouch!  Pierroth calmly left, while Psic checked on
Mosco.
