AAA TV Show (06/09/1999)

[Dark Match - Lightning Match]:
Mascara Sagrada Jr. pinned Abeja Africana with the Flying Somersault
Bodyblock in 0:08:55.
Rating: **

Good quick match to get the crowd pumped up.  The tecnicos lead the
Lightning Match series, if you want to call it that, with three wins,
one loss and two draws.  Abeja missed a senton from the top rope, and
that provided the opening Sagrada Jr. needed.

Hopefully, tonight, more of the pieces to the Triplemania VII puzzle
will be solved!  Octagoncito will face Mini Abismo Negro for the
Mexican National Minis Title at Triplemania, but first, he has to get
through Mini Psicosis and Mini Mosco De La Merced tonight!

Who will face Los Vatos Locos for the Mexican National Atomicos Titles
at Triplemania?  We'll find out tonight, as Discovery, Ludxor, Pantera
and Mr. Niebla take on Mosco De La Merced, Psicosis, Histeria and
Maniaco of Los Vipers!

Who was that masked man that took out Cadaver De Ultratomba, Nemesis
and Chiva Rayada #2 last week?  Maybe we'll find out tonight, because
he'll be in 6-man tag action!

Plus, a stellar main event!  Los Vatos Locos, Perro Aguayo and Blue
Demon Jr., Cibernetico and Abismo Negro, and La Parka Jr. and Heavy
Metal all go at it, in a Four-Corners tag match!

But now, let's go to a pre-recorded interview, with Octagon.

"Pentagon...  We've agreed to it.  Mask vs. Mask.  Me and you.  Now, I
know that you'll try to delay the match for a few months, to get
yourself prepared...  but not this time.  The match will be happening
at Triplemania.  For years, we've been involved in a bloody war.  At
Triplemania, the saga will come to a close.  Someone's walking out of
there with two masks, Pentagon - and it sure as hell won't be you."

WOW!  Pentagon vs. Octagon has been confirmed for Triplemania!  Mask
vs. mask!  This one is going to be huge!

MATCH #1: Octagoncito vs. Mini Mosco De La Merced and Mini Psicosis
(Los Mini Vipers) - HANDICAP MATCH

Oh, great.  Just what you want for a two-rudo vs. one-tecnico match -
Tirantes as the ref.

Octagoncito and Mini Psic started off, and Octagoncito did
surprisingly well.  He took down Mini Psic with some spinning leg
lariats, and then hit a superb springboard rana!  Mini Mosco then came
in, and both rudos double-teamed Octacito, taking him down with a
double clothesline.  Mini Mosco hit a somersault splash, followed by a
clothesline.  For some reason, La Parkita made his way to ringside in
street clothes... why?  Back inside, Mini Mosco hits a jack-knife
power bomb, but Octacito manages to get out at the last second!  Mini
Mosco tried a pinfall after a flying bodypress, but again, Octacito
got out!  Mini Mosco with a jumping side kick, and Octacito goes to
the outside.  They went to the outside, and Octacito came back!  He
hit each rudo with a Northern Lights suplex, and whipped Mini Psic
into the ringsteps!  Back inside, Mini Psic hit a low blow right in
front of Tirantes!  Big deal.  Mini Psic hit the Flying Legdrop, but
Octagoncito BARELY got his shoulder up!  So, the rudos hit Octacito
with a double spinning leg lariat.  Octacito ducks a double
clothesline, and tries to go up top, but he's thrown down by Mini
Psic.  Mini Psic then hit a Splash Mountain, but Octacito managed to
put his foot on the rope!  He's not giving up!  La Parkita grabbed
Mini Mosco on the outside, and while they went at it, Octacito went
headfirst into the guardrail!  Mini Psic tossed the fallen tecnico
back in, and hit the Flying Legdrop!  Only problem was, Mini Mosco and
La Parkita were still fighting on the outside!  La Parkita grabbed a
fire extinguisher from ringside, and tossed it into the ring!  There's
just one little hitch - Mini Psic caught it and drilled Octagoncito!
Finally, the carnage ended.

Handicap-Match:
Los Mini Vipers (Mini Psicosis and Mini Mosco De La Merced) defeated
Octagoncito when Mini Psicosis pinned Octagoncito after hitting him
with a fire extinguisher in 0:12:48.
Rating: *** 1/4

Los Mini Vipers left happily - they did their job, which was to weaken
Octagoncito.  Meanwhile, La Parkita helped Octagoncito to the back,
apologizing profusely all the way.

MATCH #2: Discovery, Pantera, Ludxor and Mr. Niebla vs. Mosco De La
Merced, Histeria, Psicosis and Maniaco - Mexican National Atomicos
Title Tournament Semi-Final

This was... as good as the previous match.  A little too long,
however.  So, highlights were shown, only, including Pantera hitting a
top-rope Frankensteiner onto Psicosis, Mosco hitting a running
somersault plancha onto Ludxor and Discovery, Mosco breaking out of
the Cadet Clutch by Discovery, a double vertical suplex by Mr. Niebla
and Pantera on Maniaco, Ludxor almost getting the upset win for his
team with the Top-Rope Headscissors on Histeria, before Psicosis made
the save, and Kickboxer coming to the ring to toss brass knuckles
to... Histeria?  Regardless, Ludxor intercepted, and nailed Histeria
and Kickboxer with them!  The finish came when Mosco hit Ludxor with a
wooden chair, and Histeria tossing him into the ringsteps twice,
before hitting a nice Vipersault for the win.  Both parties were
exhausted after this wild one, but Los Vipers couldn't complain.

[Mexican National Atomicos Title Tournament - Semis]:
Los Vipers (Mosco De La Merced, Psicosis, Histeria and Maniaco)
defeated Discovery, Ludxor, Mr. Niebla and Pantera when Histeria
pinned Ludxor with the Vipersault in 0:36:14.
Rating: ** 3/4

MATCH #3: Aguila, Latin Lover and Venum II vs. Avispa, Shiiba, and ???
- 2/3 FALLS

Who is ???, and why did he go nuts last week?  Maybe we'll find out...

First fall saw everyone strutting their stuff in the ring, save for
???.  Venum II hit a gutwrench power bomb on Shiiba early on, that
might have knocked him out for a bit.  Latin Lover hit a tope onto
Avispa early on as well.  Avispa ran into the turnbuckle after Venum
II ducked, and then got hit with a Victory Roll, for the fall!  Second
fall saw the mystery man get tagged in... uh-oh.  Aguila didn't have a
chance, as his two dropkicks didn't even make the man blink.  The man
in black crushed Aguila with a legdrop, some kicks, a senton, and
finally, a double underhook faceslam.  Let's peel Aguila off the
concrete, now.  Rudos take the second fall.  Third fall saw all three
tecnicos trying to take the mystery man down, and did a good job at
it, with a couple of two counts.  Still, Aguila went for a flying
cross body press... and after that powerslam, we'll have to peel
Aguila off the pavement again.  The rudos distracted the tecnicos, as
Aguila gets rocked with a power bomb.  A backslide ended this one, and
this mystery man may be a force to be reckoned with.

Two-out-of-three-Falls Match:
Avispa, ??? and Shiiba beat Aguila, Latin Lover and Venum II 2 falls
to 1:
x Venum II beat Avispa via a Victory Roll in 0:13:07
x ??? beat Aguila via a double underhook faceslam in 0:17:27
x ??? beat Aguila via a backslide in 0:22:24
Rating: 3/4*

MATCH #4: Negro Casas vs. Electro Shock (c) - Mexican National
Middleweight Title Match

This one had potential... if there wasn't any interference.

Shock tried to start off on a high note with some clotheslines, but
Casas ducked them all and hit some of his own.  Casas tossed Shock out
of the ring...  TOPE!  Shock hit some punches to the chest, then
rocked Casas with a powerslam for two.  Casas countered with a
sidewalk slam, then tossed Shock out and went for another tope... but
missed!  Electro Shock was in control, hitting both a power bomb and a
reverse neckbreaker, but both times, failed to make the cover.  Shock
then tried a spinebuster slam and covered, but couldn't keep Casas
down.  Shock placed Casas into the corner, and hit some kicks to the
ribs.  Shock placed Casas on the top rope, and went for a superplex...
but Casas threw him off!  Casas went for a diving headbutt... nobody
there!  Shock goes for the Flying Splash... hits it!  It's over!

Electro Shock pinned Negro Casas with the Flying Splash in 0:10:06.
Rating: * 3/4
(Electro Shock retained the Mexican National Middleweight Title.)

MAIN EVENT: Perro Aguayo and Blue Demon Jr. vs. Charly Manson and
Nygma (Los Vatos Locos) vs. Heavy Metal and La Parka Jr. vs.
Cibernetico and Abismo Negro (Los Vipers)

This one... was long.  VERY long.  So long, that we can't show all of
it to you.  Suffice it to say that the first 30 minutes was general
brawling, with two topes, by Abismo and Metal.  Only other highlight
was that Nygma... didn't show up at the arena.  Odd...  Picudo took
his place, tagging with Manson.

We join in around the half-hour mark, where Parka Jr. and Demon Jr.
are chopping away at each other, with plenty of brawling going on
around the ring area.  After a side suplex, Demon Jr. tagged out to
Aguayo.  Parka Jr. manages to catch him coming in with a Samoan Drop,
then proceeds to stomp away on Aguayo until Demon Jr. breaks it up.
Heavy Metal's tagged in, and he and Aguayo go at it, with Aguayo
getting the upper hand with some blows to the stomach and head.
Aguayo tags in Demon Jr., who makes an impact right away with a
spinning headscissor takedown.  After a flying dropkick, Demon Jr.
locks on a scorpion deathlock, but Metal fights his way out of it in
no time at all!  Metal gets up... kick to the midsection... STUNNER!
Metal and Parka Jr. are out!

Meanwhile, Manson, Ciber, Abismo and Picudo have been brawling using
chairs and a table on the outside, and after Manson's laid out with a
chair shot by Ciber, and Picudo goes crashing into a table thanks to
Abismo, Los Vipers are in charge.  Ciber manages to hit Manson down
low with a groin shot, and Abismo takes down Picudo with a gutwrench
power bomb, followed up by a senton back inside the ring.  Picudo got
his shoulder up on the pin attempt, but couldn't block a somersault
splash, which made it Perro and Demon Jr. vs. Cibernetico and Abismo!
Manson immediately got the hell out of there!

The final match-up was full of hot wrestling.  Cibernetico and Abismo
double-teamed Perro early, and hit a double DDT, but only got two!  A
power bomb by Cibernetico followed by a legdrop by Abismo?  A 2.99
count!  Cibernetico executing his CiberBomb?  Demon Jr. made the save,
when it was certain that Perro was out of it.  Then, when Abismo hit
Demon Jr. with a low blow, and Perro was set up for another CiberBomb,
Psicosis came to the ring.  Tropicasas was distracted with Demon Jr.
and Abismo, and Psicosis had a beer bottle in his hand...

*WHACK*

...and Cibernetico goes down!!!  Psicosis pants... and removes his
mask?  What the...  CHARLY MANSON!  Manson, after being eliminated,
changed into Psic's costume and interfered!  Perro has no idea what
happened, but he goes to the top rope... SENTON!  Tropicasas goes down
to count... one... two... THREE!

Four Corners Match:
Perro Aguayo and Blue Demon Jr. defeated Los Vipers (Abismo Negro and
Cibernetico), Los Vatos Locos (Charly Manson and Picudo) and Heavy
Metal and La Parka Jr.:
x Demon Jr. beat H. Metal via the Stunner in 0:36:37
x A. Negro beat Picudo via a somersault splash in 0:38:52
x Perro Sr. beat A. Negro via a senton in 0:48:20
Rating: *
(Nygma no-showed.)

WOW!  Manson must be a master of disguise, or something!  After the
match, Perro took the microphone.

"Cibernetico!  I hope you're listening to me...  Triplemania!  Me!
You!  Hair vs. Mask match!  What do you have to say about that?"

GOD!  What a challenge!  Ciber vs. Perro?  Mask vs. Hair?  Will it
happen?  Will Psic show up in TJ this weekend, like he promised?  Are
more women and minis coming into AAA?
