AAA TV Show (06/02/1999)

[Dark Match]:
Nino De La Calle and Venum II defeated Angel Mortal and Sangre Chicana
when Calle pinned A. Mortal with the Frankensteiner in 0:10:04.
Rating: -1/2*

Well, if anything, it was better than last week's match.  Basic match
by both sides, with Venum II pulling out the odd highspot.  Calle with
a Frankensteiner to end it.

(Note: Because of time restraints this week, highlights were only
shown of the following matches.)

MATCH #1: Octagoncito vs. Mini Abismo Negro - Mexican National Minis
Title Match

Octagoncito... is a worthy competitor for the title.
Mini Abismo... doesn't want to face Octagoncito.

Still, when you're forced to defend the title...

First fall saw Octagoncito wear down Mini Abismo with a series of
high-flying moves, such as Asai moonsaults and dropkicks.  However,
the crafty rudo had things well in hand, and won with a German Suplex.
The second fall was all Octacito, as he sought to, and ended up tying
the match with a nice Northern Lights suplex that caught Mini Abismo
by surprise.  Octacito went all out in the third fall, trying to get
that vital pin with such moves as a Victory Roll, an inside cradle,
and a missile dropkick.  However, Mini Abismo wouldn't give up, and
left the ring with 10 seconds left in the time limit.  Octagoncito
managed to stun Mini Abismo with a baseball slide, but couldn't get
him back in the ring in time...

Two-out-of-three-Falls Match:
Mini Abismo Negro drew Octagoncito:
x Mini Abismo beat Octagoncito via the German Suplex in 0:09:12
x Octagoncito beat Mini Abismo via a Northern Lights suplex in 0:12:03
x time limit expired (Mini Abismo and Octagoncito) in 0:15:00
Rating: ** 1/4
(Mini Abismo Negro retained the Mexican National Minis Title.)

...and this one ended up a draw!  Afterwards, Octagoncito took the
microphone, and challenged Mini Abismo to a one-fall, winner takes all
title match at Triplemania, to be coming up soon.  Mini Abismo
declined.  Then, Octagoncito challenged Mini Abismo to a Mask vs. Mask
match!  Stunned, Mini Abismo decided to accept the title match, on the
condition that Octagoncito faces both Mini Mosco and Mini Psic in a
match next week!  Octagoncito agreed, and we have a match!

MATCH #2: Charly Manson, Nygma, Picudo and May Flowers (Los Vatos
Locos) vs. Coco Amarillo, Coco Rojo, Coco Negro and Coco Azul (Los
Payasos) - Mexican National Atomicos Title Tournament Semi-Final

BLOOD!!!  It was a sure thing.

Well, Coco Rojo was the first to be busted open after a chairshot by
Nygma.  Hang on... was it just me, or was Nygma in the ring the whole
match?  Yup.  He was.  Turns out Los Vatos Locos were isolating Los
Payasos on the outside by tossing them into the guardrail, hitting low
blows, etc.  And, with rudo ref Tirantes in charge of the match, that
was how it was going to go.  Coco Negro managed to break free from the
carnage, and tried to spray Nygma with a fire extinguisher, but...
couldn't figure out how to use it???  Ah, that's how.  You hit someone
with it, like Nygma did with Negro.  Manson held down Negro, as Nygma
hit not one, but two Flying Splash finishers before making the cover.
Los Payasos were never in this one.  Los Vatos Locos advance to face
either Los Vipers or their "mystery" team at Triplemania.

[Mexican National Atomicos Title Tournament - Semis]:
Los Vatos Locos (Charly Manson, May Flowers, Nygma and Picudo)
defeated Los Payasos (Coco Amarillo, Coco Azul, Coco Negro and Coco
Rojo) when Nygma pinned Coco Negro with the Flying Splash in 0:15:23.
Rating: 1/2*

MATCH #3: "LOSER LEAVES AAA!" Match - Nemesis (w/Abeja Africana) vs.
Cadaver De Ultratomba (w/Discovery)

Did this one ever get off the ground?  Hell, no.

Brawling, brawling, and more brawling.  They brawled in the aisleway,
the stands, ringside, and in the ring.  The referee, Tropicasas, had a
difficult time keeping this one under control.  Abeja and Discovery
stayed out of this one for most of the time, but did get into a few
little skirmishes.  Cadaver hit Nemesis with a DDT onto the chair, and
went for the pin, but someone from the back dressed in black ran in
and...  hit Cadaver with a PILEDRIVER!!!  NO!!!  He's out!  Nemesis is
still loopy...  Tropicasas is still distracted...  What the hell?  The
man picks Nemesis up... Tropicasas turns around... PILEDRIVER!!!
DQ!!!  Cadaver's history!

Loser-Leaves-AAA Match:
Nemesis defeated Cadaver De Ultratomba by disqualification in 0:08:18.
Rating: 1/4*

What the hell was that???  The masked man went to the back, while
Abeja and Discovery stood there, stunned.  Abeja helped Nemesis to the
back, while Discovery and Cadaver, when he eventually recovered, just
stood there.  Cadaver is gone.  He's out of AAA.

But who was that masked man?

MATCH #4 - Mosco De La Merced and Abismo Negro (Los Vipers) vs. Chiva
Rayada #1 and Chiva Rayada #2 - Mexican National Tag Team Title Match

Chiva Rayada #2, for some reason, came to the ring alone.  So did
Mosco.  Tirantes, of all people, was confused, but decided to let the
match go anyways.

Mosco was in control of most of this one, but Chiva #2 fired back with
some nice moves, including a tope to the outside, and a huge
superplex, which got a two count.  After Chiva #2 hit a clothesline,
the man in black walked to the ring... again.  Chiva #2 turned around,
and was about to say something... REVERSE NECKBREAKER!  Chiva #2's
down!  The man stands above Chiva #2... SENTON!  Mosco goes up top...
FLYING SENTON!  Chiva #2's in a world of hurt.  Mosco covers, Tirantes
counts, and that's it.

Los Vipers (Mosco De La Merced and Abismo Negro) defeated Chivas
Rayadas when Merced pinned Chiva #2 with the Flying Senton in 0:05:12.
Rating: **
(Los Vipers (Mosco De La Merced and Abismo Negro) retained the Mexican
National Tag Team Titles.)

Afterwards, Abismo Negro came out, and the two double-teamed Chiva #2,
who was eventually stretchered out.  This had to be a set-up...  but
where was Chiva #1?  There were reports he entered the building
earlier with Chiva #2...

MAIN EVENT: Octagon, Canek and Perro Aguayo vs. Psicosis, Cibernetico
(Los Vipers), and Pentagon - 2/3 FALLS

A huge tag match, to end the show.

For the first two falls, it was the brawl that you would expect from
these two teams.  Perro Sr. kicked out of a Ciber choke-slam at two,
but fell victim to a crucifix by Pentagon for the first fall.  Then,
Pentagon missed a chairshot, and ended up hitting Cibernetico.
Octagon made the rudos pay with an Octaclutch for the second fall.
The third fall was where it got interesting.  Los Vipers came to
ringside to assist the rudos, but Los Vatos Locos assaulted them from
behind, resulting in a huge brawl!  Tropicasas tried in vain to break
it up for a while.  Cibernetico hit Canek with the Ciberbomb, but
there was no referee to count!  Out of nowhere, Charly Manson ran in,
and hit Ciber with a low blow!  The fans didn't know what to do, but
cheer when Canek hit his Canek Press for the win!

Two-out-of-three-Falls Match:
Octagon, Perro Aguayo and Canek beat Los Vipers (Psicosis and
Cibernetico) and Pentagon 2 falls to 1:
x Psicosis beat Perro Sr. via a crucifix in 0:17:51
x Octagon beat Cibernetico via the Octaclutch in 0:24:46
x Canek beat Cibernetico via the Canek Press in 0:29:58
Rating: -** 1/4

Los Vatos Locos and Los Vipers continued to brawl, while the others
just got the hell out of there.  A semi-wild way to end the show - all
we would have needed is for the fans to have rioted. :)

Here's the preliminary card for Triplemania VII (Date TBA, most likely
at the end of June or beginning of July)

??? - Mexican National Atomicos Tag Team Title Match, Stipulations
