AAA House Show (05/01/1999)

From Arena Coliseo - San Luis Potosí.  A near-sellout tonight to see
some of AAA's best.

No-Countout-No-DQ-4-Man Battle Royal:
Mini Psicosis won a 4-man Battle Royal:
x Parkita defeated Peso after a rana in 0:14:40
x Parkita defeated Merced after the Frankensteiner in 0:14:54
x Mini Psicosis defeated Parkita after the Flying Legdrop in 0:16:30
Rating: **

First match of the night saw a Four-Way Dance.  Mini Mosco and Mini
Psic worked as a team for the most part, until Parkita and Peso
managed to come back.  Still, it was every man for himself, and Peso
found that out the hard way, after he whipped Parkita into the ropes,
but was surprised by a rana for the fall.  Parkita then caught Mini
Mosco completely by surprise, and hit his Frankensteiner for two falls
in 14 seconds!  However, crafty Mini Psicosis ambushed Parkita from
behind, and after a flying dropkick, finished the match off with the
Flying Legdrop.  Game, set and match.

Two-out-of-three-Falls Match:
Discovery, Ludxor and Nino De La Calle beat Abeja Africana, Avispa and
Nemesis 2 falls to 0:
x Discovery beat Avispa via the Cadet Clutch in 0:10:45
x Discovery beat Avispa via the Cadet Clutch in 0:17:44
Rating: ** 1/4

The rudos did not look good at all tonight.  Discovery and Ludxor
knocked Avispa down with a flying dropkick early on, then Ludxor sent
Avispa down hard with a flying cross body press onto the outside!
Discovery then locked on the Cadet Clutch, and Avispa, despite staying
in there for over half a minute, couldn't hold on, to signal the end
of the first fall.

Second fall saw the rudos try to take control, but failing in their
efforts.  Avispa got a near fall on Nino with a belly-to-back suplex,
but Discovery broke it up and locked on the Cadet Clutch again.
Tecnicos sweep it, and Avispa has a horrible night.  All three
tecnicos looked pretty good.  Nemesis wasn't much of a factor.

Two-out-of-three-Falls Match:
Los Vipers (Mosco De La Merced, Abismo Negro, Electro Shock and
Histeria) beat Blue Demon Jr., La Parka Jr., Heavy Metal and Venum II
2 falls to 1:
x A. Negro beat Venum II via the Sky Flying Senton in 0:10:50
x Parka Jr. beat Merced via a Frankensteiner in 0:25:28
x Merced beat Demon Jr. via a foreign object in 0:27:43
Rating: * 1/2

LOS VIPERS! were in action against an interesting tecnico team
tonight.  Abismo Negro was on fire in the first fall, hitting Venum II
with a frog splash which got two, then a moonsault which WOULD have
got three if not for Heavy Metal making the save, then the Sky Flying
Senton, which DID get three.

Blue Demon Jr. was in for much of the second fall, and did quite well,
almost pinning Mosco after the Stunner, if Shock hadn't made the save.
A little later on, Mosco then brought in his barbed wire bat, and
cracked it over La Parka Jr.'s back!  The tecnicos ran in, and we had
a near riot on our hands.  In the middle of all this, Parka Jr.,
clutching his back, hit a Frankensteiner for the second fall.

Third fall wasn't much to write home about - Demon Jr. almost put
Mosco away with a Northern Lights suplex, but Electro Shock distracted
the referee, and Merced hit a low blow, followed by a barbed wire bat
shot for the pin!  Both teams brawled again after the match, until
officials broke them up.

Kickboxer and Sangre Chicana defeated Octagon and Latin Lover when
Chicana made Octagon submit to the Chicana Special in 0:21:44.
Rating: * 1/2

The semi-main event wasn't that bad.  Lover hit a flying cross body
onto Chicana before he even entered the ring, for starters.  At the 10
minute mark, Kickboxer all but had the win after a Superkick on Lover,
but Octagon managed to make the save for his partner.  Four minutes
later, Lover got hit with the same move, except this time on the
concrete floor.  Octagon took over, and was on the verge of making
Chicana submit to the Octaclutch until Kickboxer broke it up!  While
this went on, Pentagon ran to the ring and hit Octagon with a chair
behind the referee's back.  Chicana grabs him, Chicana Special, and
that was it.

Non-Title-Cage Match:
Cibernetico defeated Perro Aguayo Jr. by escaping the cage in 0:22:54.
Rating: -** 1/2

Main event was...  pretty crappy, that's what.  Aguayo Jr. was busted
open early on, while Cibernetico never got busted open.  Cibernetico
was in complete control of this one, hitting the CiberBomb three
times, but never tried to escape - he wanted to punish Aguayo Jr.  A
little later on, Aguayo Jr. hit the Double Stomp, but was too weak to
climb the cage.  Mosco ran to the ring with some brass knuckles, and
slipped them to Cibernetico.  Aguayo Jr. tried a clothesline, but ran
right into a brass fist by Cibernetico.  After one more CiberBomb,
Cibernetico escaped the cage for the win.  He was met immediately by
Perro Aguayo and Canek, who went at it with the two Vipers!  Officials
ran out before other wrestlers (namely, other Vipers) could get
involved.  The tecnicos helped Perro Aguayo Jr. out of the cage as the
show ended.
