AAA House Show (04/24/1999)

(From Arena Bravo in Mexico City, Mexico.)

Two-out-of-three-Falls Match:
Shiiba, Abeja Africana and Angel Mortal beat Los Cadetes Del Espacio
(Discovery and Venum II) and Nino De La Calle 2 falls to 1:
x Discovery beat A. Africana via the Cadet Clutch in 0:13:01
x A. Africana beat Discovery via a top-rope Frankensteiner in 0:14:23
x A. Mortal beat Discovery via a Boston crab in 0:17:35
Rating: * 1/4

OK opener.  First fall came when Abeja was grounded by Discovery, who
weakened the rudo with a series of submission holds, ending it with
the Cadet Clutch.  Abeja passed out, giving the tecs the first fall.
Second fall started with Abeja recovering and hitting a tope suicida
onto the floor right away, knocking Discovery AND Venum II down!
Abeja hit a top-rope Frankensteiner, and Shiiba held Venum II back,
for the rudos to take the second fall.  The final fall saw Mortal
knock Discovery down with a jumping DDT, then hitting the Power Bomb,
but Nino made the save!  Shiiba ran in and tackled Nino, while Mortal
locked a Boston crab on.  Discovery couldn't take it, and the rudos
win!

Two-out-of-three-Falls Match:
Latin Lover, Ludxor and La Parka Jr. beat
Sangre Chicana, Charly Manson and Pentagon 2 falls to 0:
x Ludxor beat Pentagon via a backslide in 0:12:45
x Ludxor beat C. Manson via a Frankensteiner in 0:14:49
Rating: 1/2*

The tecs were on fire here.  Pentagon again had Octagon's mask on over
his, but Ludxor tore it off before the match began!  Tecs dominated
Pentagon for much of the first fall, with Ludxor finally getting the
pin with a backslide after a double backdrop, giving Latin Lover the
assist.  The second fall saw Manson tagged in, and he didn't fare much
better.  As soon as Manson came in, he went for a low blow, but Ludxor
blocked it, and quickly executed a Frankensteiner for the three count!
Ludxor was on fire here tonight.  Chicana was rarely in.

Elimination Match:
Blue Demon Jr. and Octagon beat Los Vipers (Abismo Negro and Histeria)
2 falls to 1:
x Demon Jr. beat Histeria via the Stunner in 0:13:37
x A. Negro beat Demon Jr. via the Sky Flying Senton in 0:18:27
x Octagon beat A. Negro via a flying cross body press in 0:19:40
Survivors: Octagon
Rating: * 1/2

A good old-fashioned Elimination Match was up next.  Histeria missed a
clothesline, and Demon Jr. hit a snap suplex followed by the Stunner
to eliminate the Viper.  Abismo Negro was in trouble, but after
countering Demon Jr.'s Mexican armdrag takedown with a lariat, the
National Tag Team Champ hit his Sky Flying Senton to make it a
one-on-one matchup.  Negro kept trying to slap Octagon in the third
fall, but Octagon reversed the slaps each time, and hit a flying cross
body press on a dizzy Abismo to take the win!

Two-out-of-three-Falls Match:
Kickboxer, El Cobarde and Avispa beat Los Junior Atomicos (Mascara
Sagrada Jr. and Perro Aguayo Jr.) and Canek 2 falls to 1:
x Perro Jr. beat Cobarde via a Frankensteiner in 0:07:02
x Kickboxer beat Sagrada Jr. via the Superkick in 0:11:51
x Kickboxer beat Sagrada Jr. via a kneelock submission in 0:19:55
Rating: -**

Not a good match.  Aguayo Jr. and Canek were on the same team for this
one, like they'll be this week in the TV Main Event.  If this is any
indication... eech.  First fall was easily taken by the tecs when
Aguayo Jr. rolled up Cobarde for two, then hit a Frankensteiner for
the fall.  Second fall saw the rudos beat up on Canek until Aguayo Jr.
made the save.  Sagrada Jr. ran right into the Superkick for Kickboxer
to take the easy pinfall, tying the contest up.  Third fall was
interesting.  Canek caught Avispa with the Canek Press, but the
referee was out following a missed clothesline by Avispa.  While the
other tecs and rudos battled on the outside, Cibernetico ran in and
hit Canek in the head with a chair!  He dragged Canek to the outside
while Kickboxer and Sagrada Jr. went into the ring, and hit the
CiberBomb onto the arena floor!  Canek was out cold!  Cibernetico
left, laughing, while Kickboxer blocked a rana attempt by Sagrada Jr.,
and then proceeded to lock on a kneelock submission.  Sagrada Jr.
tapped, and the rudos took home the win.  Canek was stretchered out
after the match.  Will he be in shape for the TV show?

Los Vipers (Mosco De La Merced, Psicosis, Cibernetico and Electro
Shock) defeated Los Payasos (Coco Amarillo, Coco Azul, Coco Negro and
Coco Rojo) when E. Shock pinned Coco Negro with the Flying Splash in
0:33:23.
Rating: * 1/2

Surprisingly long match.  Coco Azul and Coco Rojo looked pretty good
here, as did AAA's own Psicosis and Mosco.  With a big brawl going on
outside the ring, Electro Shock hit a jack-knife power bomb onto Coco
Negro, but he could only get a two count.  Shock dragged Coco Negro
into the corner, then nailed the Flying Splash to let Los Vipers grab
the win in the main event!  After Los Vipers celebrated, Psicosis
grabbed the mic:

"All right, "Psicosis", listen up!  I heard what you said at that...
PJC... TJW... whatever show last night, and that pisses me off!  We
all know that there's only one Psicosis, only one master of the Flying
Legdrop, and only room for the real deal, not for some imitator like
yourself!  Now, the way I see it, PUNK, you made a challenge to me for
a cage match, right?  Bottom line is, I'm not going to face you until
you prove yourself to me, asshole!  To prove yourself, I want you to
face... hm..."

Electro Shock grabs the mic.

"Psic, listen to me!  You saw how I performed out there tonight, you
saw how I managed to get the win for Los Vipers...  Give that bastard
to me!  I'll give him what he deserves!"

Psic takes the mic from Electro Shock.

"All right, Electro!  That sounds like a great deal!  You listening,
TJCW?  You listening, Psic?  Next week, Electro Shock vs. "Psic" in
TJCW, and *IF* you win, jackass - *IF* you win - I'll gladly let you
take me on in a cage match, and then I'll show the world how much of a
loser you are!  The challenge is on the table, bastard - will you
accept?"

Los Vipers left the ring to a mixed reaction, slightly in favor of the
rudos, as the show ended.
