AAA TV Show (04/21/1999)

Welcome live, from Arena Naucalpan in Mexico City, for a special live
AAA TV Show!  The minis are here tonight, as are Los Payasos and Los
Vipers, and in the main event tonight, the Mexican National Tag Team
Titles are on the line!  Let's get right to the action, as we go down
to the ring for the first match:

MATCH #1: Octagoncito/La Parkita (tecnicos) vs. Mini Abismo Negro/Mini
Psicosis (rudos, Los Mini Vipers)

The first TV match promised to be a good one, with the Los Mini Vipers
tandem of Mini Psicosis and the Mexican National Minis Champion, Mini
Abismo Negro, taking on La Parkita and fan favorite Octagoncito.
Octagoncito was attacked from behind early by both Vipers, but rallied
back before missing an Asai moonsault.  Mini Abismo Negro beat up on
Octagoncito for a bit before he could make a hot tag to Parkita.
Negro tagged in Mini Psic, and they both exchanged some holds.
Parkita hit a flurry of jabs on Psic which stunned the masked Mini
Viper, and almost got a two count with a slap in a neat little comedy
spot.  Mini Negro was tagged in, but didn't fare much better.  Parkita
almost won it with a waistlock suplex, but Negro kicked out.  After a
low blow while Mini Psic distracted the ref, Negro hit a Splash
Mountain from the top rope, but Octagoncito made the save.  La Parkita
rallied, but fell victim to a vicious power bomb for a near fall.
While Negro taunted some fans, Octagoncito was tagged in!  Mini Psic
ran after him, and got backdropped over the top rope by Parkita.
Octagoncito set Negro up on the top rope, and hit a top-rope
Frankensteiner for the first fall!

The rudos dominated the early portions of the second fall, until Negro
missed a clothesline and fell victim to a German suplex by Octagoncito
for two.  Octagoncito went for a moonsault, but Mini Negro got his
knees up and winded Octagoncito.  Mini Abismo tossed Octagoncito out
of the ring and nailed a nice flying cross body from the apron.
Octagoncito returned the favor with an Asai moonsault onto Mini Psic
and Mini Negro onto the outside!  Negro hit a wicked low blow onto
Octagoncito on the outside, and whipped him headfirst into the
guardrail!  Parkita and Mini Psic were going at it on the other side,
with Parkita gaining the upper hand.  Mini Negro whipped Octagoncito
into the guardrail again, and tried to unmask him!  The referee called
for the bell, and both teams were counted out!  Negro almost had the
mask off, but Parkita hit Negro with a chair, knocking him down!
The four minis ended up brawling to the back, and the ref had no
choice but to call for the bell.  The match was ruled a draw.

Two-out-of-three-Falls Match:
La Parkita and Octagoncito drew Los Mini Vipers (Mini Abismo Negro and
Mini Psicosis):
x Octagoncito beat Mini Abismo via a top-rope Frankensteiner in
0:07:04
x double countout (Octagoncito and Mini Abismo) in 0:12:22

We had quite a "treat" next, as Cibernetico made his way to the ring,
mic in hand.

"Canek!  You worthless, dried out, rotting piece of crap!  When - and
I ask this from the bottom of my heart - are you finally going to
realize that nobody gives a crap about you anymore and hang up your
wrestling gear?  I've tried, and tried, and tried to get you to
retire, but you basically turn me down every time!  Your time - and
I've said this a million times, Canek - has passed.  You have to step
down, and let the youngsters of AAA run the show from now on!  Of
course, your senile old brain doesn't understand what the hell I'm
even talking about, but that's all right with me!  Next week, in this
ring, I have a challenge for you.  Myself, Psicosis and Mosco will
take on your rotting carcass and any two old farts you can pull out of
your ass!  And how about we make this interesting, hm?  One fall, and
if you get pinned by any member of my team, I get a UWA Heavyweight
Title shot!  And if I get pinned by any member of your team, I'll pull
my coveted AAA Champion of Champions Title out of my trophy case, and
put it on the line against you!  Come on, old-timer!  Show me some
guts!"

MATCH #2: Venum II/Chiva Rayada #1/Chiva Rayada #2 (tecnicos) vs.
Cadaver De Ultratomba/Nemesis/Shiiba (rudos)

The next match saw Venum II and the Chivas Rayadas take on Cadaver De
Ultratomba, Shiiba and Nemesis.  Not as entertaining a match as the
previous one, but still good nonetheless.  The rudos managed to take
the first fall when Venum II missed a dropkick, and Cadaver hit a snap
suplex, followed by a gutwrench suplex for the pin.  The second fall
saw Chiva #1 and Chiva #2 take center stage, wowing the crowd with
some great teamwork.  It only took a few chops and a Frankensteiner
for Chiva #1 to take the second fall over Cadaver.

Third fall saw the rudos in complete control.  Shiiba dived onto Venum
II on the outside, taking both men out.  Cadaver and Nemesis had Chiva
Rayada #2 right where they wanted him, but as Cadaver held Chiva #2
into position for a savate kick by Nemesis, Chiva #2 ducked and
Cadaver got nailed!  Chiva #2 had no problems hitting his
Frankensteiner finisher onto Cadaver for the fall.  Tecnicos take it,
2 falls to 1.  Cadaver and Nemesis argued after the match, but Shiiba
managed to calm both of the rudos down.

Two-out-of-three-Falls Match:
Chivas Rayadas and Venum II beat Shiiba, Nemesis and Cadaver De
Ultratomba 2 falls to 1:
x Cadaver beat Venum II via a gutwrench suplex in 0:11:02
x Chiva #1 beat Cadaver via a Frankensteiner in 0:12:13
x Chiva #2 beat Cadaver via the Frankensteiner in 0:17:01
Rating: ** 1/4

We have just learned that Canek has *ACCEPTED* Cibernetico's challenge
for next week.  It will be Ciber/Psicosis/Mosco vs. Canek/???/???.
Could be an interesting bout, to say the least.

MATCH #3: Psicosis/Electro Shock/Histeria (rudos, Los Vipers) vs. Coco
Rojo/Coco Negro/Coco Amarillo (tecnicos, Los Payasos)

Here come those wacky clowns!  Los Payasos wouldn't have an easy task
today, however, as they were taking on a Los Vipers team consisting of
Histeria, Electro Shock and Psicosis.  Psic begged off early in the
first fall after Rojo hit two consecutive elbowsmashes onto the Viper.
Amarillo and Rojo pounded on Psic for a bit, who attempted to come
back into the ring with a chair.  The ref would have none of that.
Psic tagged in Histeria, who managed to reverse Amarillo's Armlock
Leglock Submission into an inside cradle for a near fall.  Rojo was
tagged in, but almost got his head knocked off with a dropkick by
Histeria.  Histeria locked on the Bow and Arrow Submission, and Rojo
was in trouble.  Negro and Amarillo ran into the ring, but Electro
Shock and Psicosis cut them off.  Finally, the referee had to raise
Rojo's hand three times, and the hand fell three times.  Rudos take
the first fall.

Coco Rojo fired back in the second fall.  He managed to duck under
some Histeria clotheslines, and rocked him with some stiff forearm
shots.  Histeria rolled out of the ring, and Electro Shock stepped in.
After a reverse neckbreaker, Shock executed his feared Flying Splash
onto Coco Rojo!  Amarillo managed to make the save just in time,
however.  Rojo poked Electro in the eyes, giggled, then hit a
powerslam that almost tied this one up.  Electro Shock tagged Psicosis
in, but Coco Amarillo came in for Los Payasos.  Amarillo distracted
Psic, and hit a quick senton for a two count.  Psicosis, after a
legsweep, started to stomp away on Amarillo, then locked him in a
camel clutch for 20 seconds.  Psicosis grabbed another chair, and the
referee wasn't stopping him this time.  Spinning leg lariat off the
chair onto Coco Amarillo!  The referee tossed the chair out of the
ring, and admonished Psic.  The Viper turned around, was dropkicked by
surprise, and got pinned by Coco Amarillo!  Tecnicos tie it up!

Third fall wasn't much to write home about.  Coco Negro hadn't come
into the bout at all... and still didn't during the final fall.  Coco
Rojo was rolled up by Psicosis, but he could only get two.  Coco Rojo
hit a powerslam on Psic and got two, but then hit a second powerslam
to take the match!  Tecnicos win, 2 falls to 1!  Abismo Negro ran out
after the match and Los Vipers overpowered Los Payasos until Coco Azul
ran out from the back to even things up.  Order was eventually
restored, but Los Payasos and Los Vipers exchanged some words after
the brawl.

Two-out-of-three-Falls Match:
Los Payasos (Coco Amarillo, Coco Negro and Coco Rojo) beat
Los Vipers (Psicosis, Electro Shock and Histeria) 2 falls to 1:
x Histeria beat Rojo via the Bow and Arrow Submission in 0:04:10
x Amarillo beat Psicosis via a dropkick in 0:11:35
x Rojo beat Psicosis via a powerslam in 0:14:28
Rating: 1/4*

MATCH #4: ??? vs. ??? - WILDCARD LIGHTNING MATCH

Now, it was time for a special Wildcard Lightning Match!  One fall,
with a 10-minute time limit.  Not only did we get a tecnico and a
rudo, but we also got two great fighters - UWA Jr. Heavyweight
Champion Blue Demon Jr., and Pentagon.  Pentagon wore a replica of
Octagon's mask over his original mask, and taunted Octagon before the
fight.

Pretty quick Lightning Match..  Pentagon hit a Frankensteiner right
off the bat, but couldn't keep Demon Jr. down.  Demon came right back
with a Northern Lights suplex that kept Pentagon down for a two count.
Demon locked on an armbar, and Pentagon had some difficulty getting
out of it.  Pentagon went to the corner to beg off, and attempted to
hit a low blow, but Demon dodged it in the nick of time!  A kick to
the stomach and one Frankensteiner later, this match was in the books.
Blue Demon Jr. takes it.

[Wildcard Lightning Match]:
Blue Demon Jr. pinned Pentagon after a Frankensteiner in 0:02:43.
Rating: ** 1/2

After the match, Pentagon took the replica of Octagon's mask and
ripped it in half, cursing Octagon and his family!  Clearly, he'll
stop at nothing to take that mask of Octagon's, and vice versa.  They
may very well get their chance soon enough.

MAIN EVENT - BELTS ARE ON THE LINE! Perro Aguayo/Perro Aguayo Jr.
(tecnicos, Mexican National Tag Team Champions) vs. Mosco De La
Merced/Abismo Negro (rudos, Los Vipers)

And now, it was time for the main event! Perro Aguayo and Perro Aguayo
Jr, the Mexican National Tag Team Champions, defended against the Los
Vipers tandem of Abismo Negro and Mosco De La Merced!

Negro sneak-attacked Aguayo Jr. before the bell, and whipped him into
all four turnbuckles to start before hitting a jack-knife power bomb
for two.  Aguayo Jr. then got hit with a spinning power bomb, before
Negro tagged Mosco in.  Mosco slapped Aguayo Jr. around, but then got
raked in the eyes, and Aguayo Jr. tagged his father in!  Aguayo opened
up on Mosco with a series of chops and elbows, but when Mosco tried
the same, Aguayo didn't even budge!  Aguayo hit two consecutive
dropkicks, which caused Mosco to tag Negro back in.  Negro hit a
flying cross body press, but Aguayo powered out at two!  Aguayo
signaled for the finish and went for his Double Stomp, but Negro
rolled out of the way!  Mosco walked in, and both Vipers proceded to
hit power bombs on the helpless Aguayo.  Los Vipers went for a double
dropkick, but Aguayo managed to avoid it and make the tag!  Aguayo Jr.
came in, and walked right into a flying somersault smash by Abismo
Negro.  Rudos had their way for the next few minutes, until Aguayo
decided he had had enough of this, and bodyslammed Negro!  Aguayo Jr.
tried for a Double Stomp as well, but Negro avoided it.  Still, Aguayo
Jr. countered with a faceslam.  Aguayo was tagged in, and Mosco and
Negro knocked him down with a series of double clotheslines.  Negro
went for a German suplex, and seemed to have the pin, but had to abort
the attempt at the last second because his shoulders were on the mat
as well!  Mosco replaced Negro in the ring, and while Negro feigned an
injury, Mosco hit a low blow on Aguayo, and went for a PILEDRIVER!!!
Aguayo countered with a backdrop!  Perro tried a vertical suplex, but
Mosco rolled through for two.  Aguayo tagged his son in, and he took
it to Mosco on the outside with some stiff shots to the guardrail.
Mosco went for a power bomb back inside the ring, but Aguayo Jr.
countered with a backdrop, and hit the DOUBLE STOMP!!!  Perro Jr. went
for the pin, but Mosco somehow managed to kick out!  Aguayo Jr. hit it
again, but Abismo Negro made the save!  Mosco begged off, but Aguayo
Jr. hit two consecutive European uppercuts, and finished it off with
an abdominal stretch...  Mosco's fading... HE SUBMITS!!!  Tecnicos
take the first fall!

Second fall was short and sweet.  Aguayo Sr. and Aguayo Jr. both
started to double team Mosco, but he took the low road with a double
low blow.  Abismo Negro came in, and ALMOST managed to pin Aguayo with
the Sky Flying Senton, but he powered out!  Negro got nailed with two
double bulldogs and a double dropkick before tagging in Mosco!  Mosco
accidentally bumped into the ref, but still caught Aguayo with a huge
power bomb... but there was no ref to count, obviously.  Mosco came in
and took advantage by laying out Aguayo with a PILEDRIVER!!!  One of
the most lethal moves in lucha!  Mosco hits a flying senton as the
referee wakes up, then hit his Flying Somersault Splash, and thanks to
Abismo Negro tying up Aguayo Jr., the rudos take the second fall!

Cibernetico and Psicosis made their way to ringside as the final fall
began.  Mosco and Negro stomped on Aguayo's fallen body, and Mosco
went for an Asai moonsault, but missed!  Aguayo Jr. ran into the ring,
and all hell broke loose.  Negro hit a power bomb on Aguayo, while
Aguayo Jr. caught Mosco with a Frankensteiner.  Somewhere in all of
this, the referee got decked again, and that was Psicosis' and
Cibernetico's cue.  Aguayo Jr. managed to dropkick Psic's chair into
his face, and went for a double stomp, but Ciber caught him... and
managed to CIBERBOMB AGUAYO JR.!!!  Psic recovered and went up top...
FLYING LEGDROP!!!  Aguayo Jr. was down!  Aguayo managed to get up and
clothesline Mosco out of the ring, but got decked with Psic's chair!
Abismo Negro heads up top... SKY FLYING SENTON onto Aguayo Jr.!!!
Cibernetico and Psicosis bail out!  The ref slowly counts...

1...

2...

3!!!  NEW CHAMPIONS!!!

Two-out-of-three-Falls Match:
Los Vipers (Mosco De La Merced and Abismo Negro) beat
Perro Aguayo and Perro Aguayo Jr. 2 falls to 1:
x Perro Jr. beat Merced via an abdominal stretch in 0:21:14
x Merced beat Perro Sr. via the Flying Somersault Splash in 0:28:55
x A. Negro beat Perro Jr. via the Sky Flying Senton in 0:34:00
Rating: * 1/2
(Los Vipers (Mosco De La Merced and Abismo Negro) won the Mexican
National Tag Team Titles.)

Los Vipers celebrated their HUGE victory, but continued to beat up on
both Aguayos.  Suddenly, the fans roared as Canek ran down, chair in
hand!  All the rudos were chased out of the ring except for Mosco, who
got nailed twice with the chair!  Canek challenged Cibernetico to
enter the ring, but Los Vipers grabbed Mosco and the belts, and ran
out of the arena!  Canek helped the former champs up as we went off
the air...

Could Canek have found his two partners for next week?
